welcome to burslem arts

about burslem arts shop

The Burslem Arts shop was an idea conceived in 2006 by the Burslem Arts Festival Group which run a twice yearly Arts Festival in the heritage setting that is Burslem Town Centre.

A location was found and a strong supporter of the local arts festival Moorcroft Pottery offered to support the 2 years rent for the shop. Our sincere and heart felt thanks go out to Moorcroft for helping to secure the grounding of this project.

The shop opened in April 2006 when artists were invited from the local area to sell their work through the shop and volunteer artists offered to work from and open the shop. Once enough support, quality items and time cover was found the shop had its official launch on the 19th October 2007 when it was announced as fully open to the public.

We hope you enjoy what you see on the site. It will be updated with new work regularly so please ensure you are able to visit regularly.
